Walgreens Launches it's Green Brand- Ology

In this economy, businesses, large and small are starting to look at saving resources and being less wasteful to save money and that will have a positive impact on environmental issues. Walgreens is one such example. Walgreens has launched it's new line of products- Ology.

Ology is a new brand products developed by Walgreens. They come free of harmful chemicals found in many main stream brands and are being sold in various Walgreen's nationwide.

Ology is surprisingly affordable and their line of products include:

• Baby Care – lotion and 2-in-1 body wash
• Laundry – liquid detergent and fabric softener
• Cleaners – glass cleaner and all-purpose cleaner
• Personal Care – adult shampoo and conditioner
• Paper – bath and facial tissue, paper towels and copy paper
• Lighting – compact fluorescent light bulbs

I’ve realized that over the last couple of years I have been slowly going greener, one step at a time. When I saw an opportunity to review this new line I was very excited. I decided to try the paper products.

I picked up the toilet tissue and the paper towels. 

Both products are made from sugar cane husk and bamboo. hearing this, it scared me at first.Bamboo and sugar cane not items I would consider rubbing on a sensitive tushie. Once I got the items home, it was time for the test. Taking a roll of toilet paper out I once again was hesitant, as the toilet tissue has a bumpy texture to it. 

My immediate reaction was "Ouch" But like the saying goes, you cannot judge a book by it's cover. Determined to give a full and fair review I venture unto the bathroom. The tissue paper was not rough as I expected. It was a little thinner than I am use to but I was surprised at the softness. Not scratchy like I first thought.

I loved that it came in a big 12 pack. I would like to see more ply's added to plump it up some more. 

The paper towels were also soft. Though they are softer than other paper towels they are also thinner. I used the paper towels to clean my bathroom mirror and I liked that there wasn't lint left behind and it did its job well at wiping down the sink.
